Snow And Holiday Cheer Come To GTA Online

The holiday season is upon us, and the festivities have reached Los Santos as well. As part of a recurring Christmas miracle, snow has fallen to temporarily replace the otherwise eternal summer with a more wintery landscape, allowing players to lob snowballs at each other for a day or two.

Alongside the scheduled snowfall - that'd be pretty handy in real life, wouldn't it? - weekly bonuses and dripfeed DLC are here as well, with new resident DJs debuting in The Music Locker and a new car to add to your already overwhelmed garages.

You'll notice many of the most frequented in-game locations, such as The Diamond Casino & Resort which players spent the past year gambling in, partying in or robbing, decked out with all sorts of seasonal decorations just so you don't forget it's time for festivities when you step inside out of the snow.

A limited range of seasonal log-in rewards will be up for grabs, unlockable simply by playing the game during the holidays - you don't even need to play several days to unlock everything, as all of the seasonal rewards will be applied to your account the first time!

The holiday themed log-in rewards on offer are:

  • The Vibrant Stitch Emissive Mask
  • The Red Bleeder Festive Sweater
  • The Green Cluckin' Festive Sweater
  • The Tartan Livery for the Ocelot Ardent, Buckingham Akula and Karin Technical Custom
  • The Candy Cane Livery for the Comet Safari, HVY APC and HVY Insurgent Pick-Up Custom
  • Care package containing the Firework Launcher, 20 Firework Rockets, Snacks, Armor, 25 Sticky Bombs, 25 Grenades, 10 Proximity Mines and 10 Molotovs

The real gift that will need a hell of a tree to fit under, however, is a new free vehicle that can be claimed by all players at no cost during the holiday season. Hop on down to Southern San Andreas Super Autos and pick up your Grotti Brioso 300 with an appropriately festive red paint job!

Meanwhile, two new artists have taken up residence at The Music Locker, bringing you the best new beats for the holiday parties. Luckily the pandemic doesn't exist in GTA Online, and people are encouraged to let their hair down at the club.

Keinemusik and Palms Trax will be arriving to Los Santos soon, so keep an eye out for their respective DJ missions when they pop up. The Music Locker's beats can also be heard on the club's dedicated radio, and the community have repaired so many antennae that Still Slipping Los Santos can now be listened to anywhere, anytime.

The Grotti Itali RSX is the newest addition to GTA Online's ever growing fleet of cars available for purchase. A sleek hypercar that's the frankensteined IP-avoidance lovechild of two Ferrari models with a bit of Lamborghini sprinkled on top with certain customizations, the Itali RSX can be yours today for GTA$ 3,465,000.

A vastly different vehicle also joins the game's ranks - the Dinka Veto Modern is a low-profile go-kart with surprisingly well shaped bodywork for a vehicle of its caliber. Pick one up for just GTA$ 995,000 at Southern San Andreas Super Autos.

If you head over to the Diamond Casino & Resort, you'll have the chance to drive away in a free Progen Tyrus if you win the vehicle reward at the Lucky Wheel. Remember to return every day for another spin. If the free car doesn't pan out, you can always go for the Pegassi Tempesta at 40% off instead.

While people should dedicate the holidays to rest and relaxation, for some the hustle never ends. Buy an Executive Office and any Executive Office customizations at a 40% discount to take your first steps in the business world of GTA Online. Additionally, the Ocelot Penetrator, the Pfister Comet SR, the Coil Rocket Voltic and the Blazer Aqua are all 40% off too.

Happy holidays!
