This fake GTA 6 map proves that we shouldn't believe every leak we see

We wouldn't be surprised if someone actually tries to pass this video off as a "legit" GTA 6 leak in a few months.

A little over a week. Or, to be more precise, a "week and a half." This is how long it one fan took to create a believable, but fake, GTA 6 map.

According to Reddit user u/StikyLizardStudiosYT, they created a GTA 6 map menu to "help prove how easy it is for people to make 'high quality leaks'". They added that if they can do this in their free time, someone with more experience can create something better.

Basically, what they're trying to say is that people shouldn't be too quick to believe all the stuff that they read on the internet.

Of course, because this is the internet, others couldn't help themselves from joking about it. As some point out, the footage is actually from GTA 6 and the OP is a developer who works for Rockstar Games. This isn't likely, but weirder stuff has happened in the past. Case in point, who would've guessed that Rockstar will launch a Sprunk vs eCola event?

I created a gta 6 map menu to help prove how easy it is for people to make "high quality leaks"(and for fun!) this isnt "high quality" but i made it in my free time for the last week and a half. if someone better than me spend weeks or months working on something they can make it look professional. from GTA6

At this point, the only confirmed information that we have about GTA 6 is that Take-Two Interactive has high hopes for it and that it's in development. Everything else is fair game.

From what we know of, GTA 6 won't be hitting store shelves until 2025 if not 2026.

At the end of the day, it's best to wait for Rockstar and Take-Two to confirm anything about GTA 6. Until we get official info though, we'll keep a close eye on anything that Rockstar is doing, like how it recently started posting dozens of job listings presumably for the next GTA game.
